What stands out

Our reading of the figures below, not a review. We have not stayed here.

Daylight arrival only, in practice

A seaplane serves this resort and the nearest runway is 94 km away, too far to be a realistic alternative. Seaplanes do not fly after dark, so an evening landing at Malé means a hotel night there at your own cost before you ever reach the island.

Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 4.2984, 73.0117

Island, atoll, rooms and operator from the Ministry of Tourism register (2026-08-17). Rooms are licensed capacity, not marketed villas. Coordinate from the LiteAPI hotel catalogue, checked against the register's atoll. Distances are straight-line, computed here; the journey is longer.

Arriving

Nearest runway other than Velana is Maamigili (VAM), 94 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways lists a seaplane transfer here, which carries hard limits:

Daylight only

Seaplanes cannot fly after dark. Whatever time your international flight lands, the transfer only runs between sunrise and sunset — roughly 06:00 to 18:00 year round, since the Maldives sits near the equator and day length barely changes.

A late arrival costs you a night

Land too late for the last seaplane and you overnight in Malé or Hulhumalé at your own expense, then fly out the next morning. The operator says so plainly; resort booking pages generally do not. Budget for a hotel night and a lost day whenever your inbound flight arrives late afternoon or later.

25kg baggage limit, not your airline’s

The seaplane allowance is 25kg per person total — 20kg checked plus 5kg hand luggage. Most international carriers allow 30kg or more, so the constraint that matters is the one nobody mentions when you book the flight. Excess is charged, or your bag follows on a later aircraft.

Lounge access is not automatic

Some resorts include a lounge at the seaplane terminal and some do not. Without one you wait in the public Neeri Lounge, where refreshments are bought rather than included. Waits of several hours are normal, because seaplanes depart when they are full rather than to a published timetable.

What “All-Inclusive Dine-Around Package” does not include

From the resort’s own published terms. This is where an all-inclusive plan usually stops meaning what it sounds like.

  • Madivaru and Raalhu restaurants are not included outright: guests get one pre-booked 3-course dine-around meal at each (lunch and dinner at Madivaru, dinner at Raalhu) plus a 20% discount on food there, excluding special events.
  • Spa treatments are mostly not included: only one 60-minute treatment per adult for stays of 7–10 nights, or two for stays of 11+ nights, plus a 20% discount at Himeyn Spa on selected treatments in the first two days.
  • Diving is not included beyond one complimentary introduction/orientation dive per stay, and only for certified divers staying 7 nights or more.
  • Water sports equipment (windsurfing, SUP, kayaking) is free for one hour per day only; further use is charged.
  • A floating breakfast (pool-villa guests) or in-villa breakfast (other villas) and a beach dinner are each one-time inclusions, and only for stays of 4 nights or more, pre-booking required.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Dhonveli Restaurant within stated hours; Thundi Bar serves casual snacks and drinks separately. A 750ml bottle of champagne per villa is given on arrival. Sourced from the resort's own all-inclusive page; no PDF terms document with a more exhaustive exclusion list was found.

Transfer

20-minute seaplane, operated by Trans Maldivian Airways. Cost not published on the resort’s own site.

A speedboat alternative is also offered, 60 minutes, on a fixed twice-daily schedule (0700h and 1530h from the resort; 1030h and 1645h from the airport) rather than on demand. Seaplanes run 06:00–18:00 with a last departure to the resort around 16:00; a private yacht transfer is also offered. The resort does not publish a price for any of the three options anywhere curl could reach — guests are asked to email reservations for a quote.

Room categories

  • Ocean Pool VillasOverwater125

The site also lists Jacuzzi Beach Villas, Sunset Jacuzzi Beach Villas, Sunset Ocean Pool Villas, and 2-bedroom variants of the ocean categories; sizes for those were not individually confirmed and are omitted rather than estimated. Overwater status for the two ocean categories is inferred from published features (glass floor panel, overwater hammock net, deck with direct ocean access) rather than a page that states "overwater" outright.

Children

Children accepted. Ocean Pool Villas are listed for "3 Adults or 2 Adults & 2 Children," so the resort is not adults-only. No standalone minimum-age policy page was found.
