Dharavandhoo (DRV) is close enough that a domestic flight and a short boat may be workable. Domestic aircraft fly after dark when seaplanes cannot, so this is the difference between an evening arrival costing you a night in Malé or nothing at all. Ask the resort which routing they will book.

Transfer
30-minute seaplane. $1750 round trip, Adult rate on the resort's own exclusive 8-seat shared direct seaplane; children 2-11.99 USD 1,150 round trip, infants under 2 complimentary. Rates stated to include all applicable taxes. — not included in the room rate.
The resort's own journey page publishes three seaplane options. Its own shared direct 8-seat seaplane is USD 1,750 per adult round trip; a private charter of that aircraft is USD 7,500 per way. The scheduled 14-seat Manta seaplane may stop at neighbouring resorts and is USD 1,050 per adult until 31 October 2026, USD 1,250 per adult from 1 November 2026 to 10 January 2027 (children USD 750 and USD 900; the page does not say whether these Manta figures are round trip, so that basis is not stated for them); a 14-seat private charter is USD 6,500 per way. A yacht transfer of about 2 hours 30 minutes is offered for late arrivals. The resort's own pages give the flight as "30 minutes" (journey page), "approximately 30 minutes" and "a mere 35-minute" (FAQ) — recorded as 30, not resolved. Seaplanes fly sunrise to sunset only; the resort asks for arrival at Velana by 15:30 for a same-day connection and departures between 06:00 and 16:00. The stated fallback is a 20-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo plus a 20-minute speedboat (no price stated).

Room categories
The resort states 26 houses and residences in total and, separately, "17 houses — nine on the beach and eight over the lagoon", so eight of the 17 are overwater by its own count. No size in square metres is published on the accommodation overview page, so sizeSqm is omitted for every category, and unit counts per category are not published. The government register lists 31 rooms for this resort against the 26 the resort states; the two are not reconciled here.

Children
Children accepted. No minimum age is stated. The resort's own book-direct list offers "complimentary stay and meals for two children below 12 years" (terms and conditions apply, not published on the page), and its FAQ names a children's programme, Young Wonderers. Its booking widget defines children as 0-12 years while its transfer prices use 2-11.99, so the two child age bands do not line up.
