Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 3.0037, 73.0007

Island, atoll, rooms and operator from the Ministry of Tourism register (2026-08-17). Rooms are licensed capacity, not marketed villas. Coordinate from the LiteAPI hotel catalogue, checked against the register's atoll. Distances are straight-line, computed here; the journey is longer.

Arriving

Nearest runway other than Velana is Dhaalu Atoll (Kudahuvadhoo) (DDD), 40 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways lists a seaplane transfer here, which carries hard limits:

Daylight only

Seaplanes cannot fly after dark. Whatever time your international flight lands, the transfer only runs between sunrise and sunset — roughly 06:00 to 18:00 year round, since the Maldives sits near the equator and day length barely changes.

A late arrival costs you a night

Land too late for the last seaplane and you overnight in Malé or Hulhumalé at your own expense, then fly out the next morning. The operator says so plainly; resort booking pages generally do not. Budget for a hotel night and a lost day whenever your inbound flight arrives late afternoon or later.

25kg baggage limit, not your airline’s

The seaplane allowance is 25kg per person total — 20kg checked plus 5kg hand luggage. Most international carriers allow 30kg or more, so the constraint that matters is the one nobody mentions when you book the flight. Excess is charged, or your bag follows on a later aircraft.

Lounge access is not automatic

Some resorts include a lounge at the seaplane terminal and some do not. Without one you wait in the public Neeri Lounge, where refreshments are bought rather than included. Waits of several hours are normal, because seaplanes depart when they are full rather than to a published timetable.

What “24/7 All-Inclusive Dine Around” does not include

From the resort’s own published terms. This is where an all-inclusive plan usually stops meaning what it sounds like.

  • Snacks and in-villa dining are chargeable — Positive Energy pool bar service runs only 08:00–18:00, and anything ordered to the villa is billed separately.
  • Only one complimentary scheduled excursion per person per stay, and only a choice of "Local Island Experience" or "Sunset Dolphin Cruise" — any other excursion is paid, and an unused one is not refunded or substitutable.
  • Non-motorised water sports (stand-up paddling, kayaking, canoeing) are complimentary for one hour per person per day only; further use is chargeable.
  • Included spirits are limited to gin, rum, whiskey, tequila and brandy, plus house wine — no named premium brands, and the minibar is restocked with house wine and beer only, not spirits.
  • The overwater Aqua buffet is included at all meal times, but the two dine-around alternatives (Well Done beach grill and The Spice) are a set three-course menu only, by advance reservation, not the full à la carte menu.
  • Alcohol is not served to guests under 18.
  • Childcare beyond the supervised Turtle Kidz Club hours — babysitting, and any care at all for children under the club's minimum age — is chargeable at $25/hour.

Guests sign for everything at outlets to acknowledge consumption, but are not charged for items the package covers. The plan runs from check-in to 12 noon on departure day. Two resort documents disagree on the Turtle Kidz Club's minimum age: the meal-plan factsheet says 3 (to 11.99 years), the property factsheet says 4 (to 12) with under-3s covered only by paid babysitting — both are reported here rather than one being picked.

From the resort’s own site

Transfer

35-minute seaplane. Cost not published on the resort’s own site.

A limited-time promotional offer on the resort's own site bundles a free seaplane transfer with certain bookings, which implies the transfer is charged outside that offer — the site does not state a standard price or say the transfer is included by default.

The resort's own factsheet states 153 rooms; the government register lists 156 — both are published here rather than one being silently corrected.

Children

Children accepted. Turtle Kidz Club open daily 09:00–13:00 and 14:00–22:00; the property factsheet gives its age range as 4 to 12, with paid babysitting available on request for children under 3. The meal-plan factsheet separately states the club covers ages 3 to 11.99 — the two resort documents do not agree, and both are reported here.
