What stands out

Our reading of the figures below, not a review. We have not stayed here.

Large: 530 rooms

That is more than double the Maldives median of 110 registered rooms, and bigger than 99% of resorts here. Islands this size run buffets at scale and fill their beaches; it is the opposite trade to a forty-villa property, and worth wanting deliberately rather than discovering on arrival.

A runway 15 km away

Maafaru (NMF) is close enough that a domestic flight and a short boat may be workable. Domestic aircraft fly after dark when seaplanes cannot, so this is the difference between an evening arrival costing you a night in Malé or nothing at all. Ask the resort which routing they will book.

172 km out

Far enough south or north that the transfer is a significant part of both the cost and the day. Whatever the nightly rate looks like, price the journey before comparing it with somewhere in Malé Atoll.

Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 5.7325, 73.3584

Arriving

Nearest runway other than Velana is Maafaru (NMF), 15 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways lists a seaplane transfer here, which carries hard limits:

Daylight only

Seaplanes cannot fly after dark. Whatever time your international flight lands, the transfer only runs between sunrise and sunset — roughly 06:00 to 18:00 year round, since the Maldives sits near the equator and day length barely changes.

A late arrival costs you a night

Land too late for the last seaplane and you overnight in Malé or Hulhumalé at your own expense, then fly out the next morning. The operator says so plainly; resort booking pages generally do not. Budget for a hotel night and a lost day whenever your inbound flight arrives late afternoon or later.

25kg baggage limit, not your airline’s

The seaplane allowance is 25kg per person total — 20kg checked plus 5kg hand luggage. Most international carriers allow 30kg or more, so the constraint that matters is the one nobody mentions when you book the flight. Excess is charged, or your bag follows on a later aircraft.

Lounge access is not automatic

Some resorts include a lounge at the seaplane terminal and some do not. Without one you wait in the public Neeri Lounge, where refreshments are bought rather than included. Waits of several hours are normal, because seaplanes depart when they are full rather than to a published timetable.

What “WOW All-Inclusive” does not include

From the resort’s own published terms. This is where an all-inclusive plan usually stops meaning what it sounds like.

  • The "Dine Around The World Dinner" gives a choice between the buffet and only 6 of the resort's specialty à la carte restaurants — the resort's own factsheet does not say which 6, so the rest of its roughly dozen named restaurants (it lists Tempo, The Wahoo Grill, Andalucia, Takrai, Barrique, Del Mare, Kaage, Kurry Leaf, Arigato and The Cube alone) sit outside the included dinner rotation on any given night.
  • In-villa minibars are restocked once a day, not replenished on demand.
  • "The Cube", an 8-guests-a-night chef-residency dining venue, is not listed among the plan's included breakfast, lunch, dinner or dine-around venues.
  • The 23 Residence-category villas (Grand Water Pavilion, Two- and Four-Bedroom Beach Residence with Pool, Two Storey Pool Beach Residence, Grand Beach Residence with Pool) get privileges the standard WOW plan does not: all-day in-villa breakfast, lunch and dinner at Arigato (Japanese), an "enhanced" beverage package, and an "enhanced" minibar — implying the base plan excludes Arigato dining and the enhanced beverage/minibar tier.
  • Mint Beach Bar, the infinity pool bar, is stated as adults-only — not accessible to guests travelling with children despite being one of the plan's included bars.
  • Kidz World (ages 3-11.99) does not provide food to children "for safety reasons" unless a parent supplies it as part of a separately charged babysitting request.

Read from the resort's own official 2026 factsheet PDF, dated in its filename. The plan's described inclusions are otherwise broad: unlimited dining across four named venues for breakfast/lunch, 24-hour beverages and snacks at Kulhivaru, and 7 named bars.

Transfer

40-minute seaplane. Cost not published on the resort’s own site.

No cost is published for either routing. An alternative — a 30-minute domestic flight to Maafaru International Airport plus a 15-minute speedboat — is also published, workable after dark when the seaplane is not; the resort also states a dedicated airport lounge for its guests.

All 16 of the resort's own villa categories publish a size, unit count and maximum occupancy in the same factsheet table. The register records 530 rooms for licensing purposes, a different count from the 468 total villas summed here — registered rooms and marketed villas are not the same measure, per lib/registry.ts.

Children

Children accepted. Kidz World runs daily for ages 3-11.99 (under-3s must be accompanied); most villa categories publish a maximum child occupancy alongside adults. Mint Beach Bar, one of the plan's included bars, is adults-only. No property-wide minimum age is published.
