Dharavandhoo (DRV) is close enough that a domestic flight and a short boat may be workable. Domestic aircraft fly after dark when seaplanes cannot, so this is the difference between an evening arrival costing you a night in Malé or nothing at all. Ask the resort which routing they will book.

This is the operator's meal-plan structure published as applying group-wide across all four Villa Resorts properties, including Royal Island, rather than a Royal Island-specific page. Alcohol is restricted to guests 18 and older, and all guests registered in the same room must be on the same plan. The tier structure itself changes on 1 November 2026: the mid-tier "Premium All Inclusive" becomes "Dine-Around Premium All Inclusive" for stays from that date.

The resort's own location page gives a 20-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo Airport plus a 10-minute speedboat (30 minutes total, used here). Its separate contact page instead describes a 20-minute speedboat from Dharavandhoo reached by a 20-minute domestic flight (40 minutes total) — the two pages disagree on the speedboat leg, so confirm the actual duration at booking. No transfer cost is published on either page.
