Kunaavashi, Vaavu Atoll
Our reading of the figures below, not a review. We have not stayed here.
Genuinely isolated
The nearest other resort is 24 km away, which is unusual here — most Maldives resorts have a neighbour within 6km. That buys real seclusion, and it also means excursions, medical help and any change of scene are a long boat ride rather than a short one.
Small: 50 rooms
Smaller than 93% of resorts on the register. Small islands tend to mean staff who recognise you and quiet beaches, at the cost of fewer restaurants and less to do when you have seen it all.
Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 3.6367, 73.3648
Island, atoll, rooms and operator from the Ministry of Tourism register (2026-08-17). Rooms are licensed capacity, not marketed villas. Coordinate from the LiteAPI hotel catalogue, checked against the register's atoll. Distances are straight-line, computed here; the journey is longer.
Nearest runway other than Velana is Maamigili (VAM), 62 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways does not list a seaplane transfer here. They are the largest operator but not the only one, so that means we cannot show you a route, not that none exists.

From the booking-platform record, not the resort. A short list of the things that change a decision — confirm anything you are relying on.
Transfer
75-minute speedboat. Cost not published on the resort’s own site.
The resort's own homepage states "75 minutes by speed boat or 24 minutes by seaplane" in one place and "75 minutes by speed boat or 25 minutes by seaplane" elsewhere on the same page — a minor inconsistency recorded rather than resolved. No cost is published for either option; the site says only that its team "will reach out to organize your transfer" after booking.

Room categories
Two further categories, Grand Atlantis Villa and Grand Solana Villa (each with a "2 Bedroom" variant), appear on the resort's own overview page but publish no size and have no individually reachable detail page, so they are omitted rather than guessed. That overview page itself is internally inconsistent about one of them: "Grand Atlantis Villa" sits under a "Two Bedroom Beach Villa" heading, but the accompanying body text calls it "the largest overwater villa on Vaavu Atoll" — land and overwater in direct contradiction, recorded rather than resolved.

Children
Children accepted. The Kulhun Kids Club is named on every room page as open to "kids of all ages," with no property-wide minimum age published. The Duplex Overwater Villa's own occupancy line permits 2 adults plus 2 children.

Rates and reef condition are still unverified, and we have not read this resort's meal plan terms. What is shown above is either public-record arithmetic or the resort’s own published terms, never a review. How we source things.
