What stands out

Our reading of the figures below, not a review. We have not stayed here.

Small: 50 rooms

Smaller than 93% of resorts on the register. Small islands tend to mean staff who recognise you and quiet beaches, at the cost of fewer restaurants and less to do when you have seen it all.

Daylight arrival only, in practice

A seaplane serves this resort and the nearest runway is 67 km away, too far to be a realistic alternative. Seaplanes do not fly after dark, so an evening landing at Malé means a hotel night there at your own cost before you ever reach the island.

Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 4.6767, 73.5011

Arriving

Nearest runway other than Velana is Dharavandhoo (DRV), 67 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways lists a seaplane transfer here, which carries hard limits:

Daylight only

Seaplanes cannot fly after dark. Whatever time your international flight lands, the transfer only runs between sunrise and sunset — roughly 06:00 to 18:00 year round, since the Maldives sits near the equator and day length barely changes.

A late arrival costs you a night

Land too late for the last seaplane and you overnight in Malé or Hulhumalé at your own expense, then fly out the next morning. The operator says so plainly; resort booking pages generally do not. Budget for a hotel night and a lost day whenever your inbound flight arrives late afternoon or later.

25kg baggage limit, not your airline’s

The seaplane allowance is 25kg per person total — 20kg checked plus 5kg hand luggage. Most international carriers allow 30kg or more, so the constraint that matters is the one nobody mentions when you book the flight. Excess is charged, or your bag follows on a later aircraft.

Lounge access is not automatic

Some resorts include a lounge at the seaplane terminal and some do not. Without one you wait in the public Neeri Lounge, where refreshments are bought rather than included. Waits of several hours are normal, because seaplanes depart when they are full rather than to a published timetable.

What “Premium All-Inclusive Package” does not include

From the resort’s own published terms. This is where an all-inclusive plan usually stops meaning what it sounds like.

  • Culinary Signatures (themed dinners), In-Villa Dining and other special events are not included.
  • Spa treatments beyond a one-time 20% discount on selected treatments, bookable only in the first two days of the stay, are charged in full.
  • Diving and excursions are not included beyond what is itemised in the package (a weekly 30-minute group snorkelling/windsurfing introduction and one sunset cruise).
  • A second "à la carte" dinner at Ke-Un or Nonna beyond the one complimentary dine-around per 3-night stay is not included; the complimentary one is capped at one starter, one main and one dessert per person and excludes special events.
  • A 4-course Chef's Table dinner in the Herb Garden costs an explicit US$99 per person supplement.
  • Cigars, cigarettes and shisha; telephone, fax and postal services; private lessons; boutique purchases; resort-clinic consultations and prescriptions; and any beverage from In-Villa Dining are all charged separately.
  • Take-away orders from restaurants are not included.

Two bottles of spirits per stay are delivered to the villa on request, and the minibar (wine, canned beer, soft drinks, still water, teas/coffees) is refilled once daily as part of the plan. Alcohol is not served to guests under 18. Transfer

60-minute speedboat. $410 round trip, The resort publishes three transfer options from Velana International Airport, 57km away: seaplane (15 minutes, US$420 per person round trip, via Trans Maldivian Airways with a resort-provided lounge), speedboat (60 minutes, US$410 per person round trip), and a private luxury yacht (60 minutes, US$2,700 per way, maximum 12 passengers). — not included in the room rate.

Both scheduled options are priced per person as a combined/round-trip figure; the yacht price is one-way and per boat, not per person.

Room categories

  • Beach Pool Villa10 units
  • Lagoon Pool VillaOverwater18 units
  • Ocean Pool VillaOverwater22 units

Unit counts come from each category's own descriptive text and sum to the register's 50 rooms. A shared booking-widget block on all three pages displays "10 / 105SQM" identically regardless of category, contradicting the prose unit counts for two of the three — that widget figure, including the 105sqm size, is not used here as it cannot be trusted.

Children

Children accepted. The resort offers complimentary stay and kids'-menu meals for up to two children under 12 per booking when direct-booked, and villas are sized for up to 3 adults, so this is not an adults-only property.
