Manafaru, Haa Alifu Atoll
Our reading of the figures below, not a review. We have not stayed here.
Genuinely isolated
The nearest other resort is 31 km away, which is unusual here — most Maldives resorts have a neighbour within 6km. That buys real seclusion, and it also means excursions, medical help and any change of scene are a long boat ride rather than a short one.
A runway 6 km away
Hoarafushi (HRF) is close enough that a domestic flight and a short boat may be workable. Domestic aircraft fly after dark when seaplanes cannot, so this is the difference between an evening arrival costing you a night in Malé or nothing at all. Ask the resort which routing they will book.
319 km out
Far enough south or north that the transfer is a significant part of both the cost and the day. Whatever the nightly rate looks like, price the journey before comparing it with somewhere in Malé Atoll.
Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 6.9975, 72.9399
Island, atoll, rooms and operator from the Ministry of Tourism register (2026-08-17). Rooms are licensed capacity, not marketed villas. Coordinate from the LiteAPI hotel catalogue, checked against the register's atoll. Distances are straight-line, computed here; the journey is longer.
Nearest runway other than Velana is Hoarafushi (HRF), 6 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways does not list a seaplane transfer here. They are the largest operator but not the only one, so that means we cannot show you a route, not that none exists.

Room categories
All 7 of the resort's own accommodation-detail pages publish a size in square metres; none publishes a unit count per category. No all-inclusive/meal-plan page or transfer page was reachable on the resort's own site (jaresortshotels.com) — its "dining", "offers", "policies", "faqs" and "getting-here" links all redirect back to the property's own homepage rather than resolving to content.

Children
Children accepted. Every one of the resort's 7 accommodation-detail pages publishes the same occupancy structure, each counting children and infants separately from the adult limit (e.g. "4 adults, 2 children up to 11 years, 2 infants under 2 years" for the Grand Ocean Residence) — consistent across every category checked, not drawn from a single page.

Rates and reef condition are still unverified, and we have not read this resort's meal plan terms. What is shown above is either public-record arithmetic or the resort’s own published terms, never a review. How we source things.
