What stands out

Our reading of the figures below, not a review. We have not stayed here.

Genuinely isolated

The nearest other resort is 56 km away, which is unusual here — most Maldives resorts have a neighbour within 6km. That buys real seclusion, and it also means excursions, medical help and any change of scene are a long boat ride rather than a short one.

211 km out

Far enough south or north that the transfer is a significant part of both the cost and the day. Whatever the nightly rate looks like, price the journey before comparing it with somewhere in Malé Atoll.

Satellite imagery cannot be colour-graded or shot from a flattering angle, which makes it a better guide to an island than anything a resort will publish — the real beach, the real reef, and exactly how close that neighbour is: 2.3105, 73.2991

Island, atoll, rooms and operator from the Ministry of Tourism register (2026-08-17). Rooms are licensed capacity, not marketed villas. Coordinate from the LiteAPI hotel catalogue, checked against the register's atoll. Distances are straight-line, computed here; the journey is longer.

Arriving

Nearest runway other than Velana is Thimarafushi (TMF), 20 km away. Trans Maldivian Airways does not list a seaplane transfer here. They are the largest operator but not the only one, so that means we cannot show you a route, not that none exists.

What “All Inclusive” does not include

From the resort’s own published terms. This is where an all-inclusive plan usually stops meaning what it sounds like.

  • Delivery charge for in-villa dining.
  • Premium wines, Champagne and spirits — only a curated house selection of wines, Champagne, cocktails and spirits is included.
  • PADI scuba diving, guided snorkelling trips to offshore reefs, and any scheduled or guided water sports lesson (sailing, windsurfing).
  • Private island picnics and overnight stays, private excursions including dolphin cruises, yacht charter, visits to local islands, deep-sea fishing trips.
  • Scenic seaplane flights, and — separately — the seaplane transfer to and from the resort itself, which is not part of the all-inclusive rate.
  • Private yoga and personal training sessions, and every COMO Shambhala spa treatment except one complimentary 60-minute massage per guest (age 18+) per stay.
  • Wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, birthday celebrations, private performances, exclusive themed parties/gala dinners, and additional photography/videography packages.
  • VIP airport service including CIP, and oversized or excess baggage.
  • Special children's events (birthdays, themed activities) and babysitting service.

The included side covers three daily meals across Madi, Tai and Thila, a curated wine/Champagne/spirits list, in-villa minibar restocked daily, a weekly themed dinner, afternoon tea, a nightly ice-cream cart, and a set of complimentary group excursions (dolphin cruise, guided snorkelling safari, one drop-line fishing session per stay, splash-net cruise, non-motorised watersports) — each "as per resort's schedule" rather than on demand. Notably, the seaplane transfer that is the only way to reach this resort is itself excluded from the all-inclusive rate.

Transfer

60-minute seaplane. Cost not published on the resort’s own site.

The resort's own overview and stay-inclusions pages twice state a flat "60-minute" seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport, but its own FAQ page separately gives a "30–60 minute" range for the same route — an inconsistency recorded rather than resolved, using the more specific repeated figure. No cost is published anywhere on the site; the all-inclusive exclusion list confirms the seaplane transfer is billed separately from the room rate.

  • Maalifushi Water VillaOverwater213m²
  • COMO VillaOverwater408m²— The resort's own FAQ describes this as "a two-bedroom overwater COMO Villa" and elsewhere as "COMO Villas suspended above the lagoon" — the largest villa category on the island.

11 named categories against 76 registered rooms — consistent with multi-bedroom villas (the four-bedroom COMO Residence, two-bedroom COMO Villa) counting as several registered rooms, not treated as a discrepancy.

Children

Children accepted. Not adults-only: the resort's own FAQ names a "Play by COMO" kids' space for ages four to 11, and states children under six dine free with a 50% discount for ages seven to 11. No property-wide minimum age is published.
